Electric vehicle and buffer battery in one

Electric mobility is expected to make an important contribution to reducing global warming. For this, the growing number of electric cars, including charging stations, must be integrated into the existing power supply. This is a major challenge that opens up new possibilities for "intelligent" operation of the electricity grid. A research project in Basel's new "Erlenmatt East" district shows that electric cars can be used for car sharing and intermediate storage of solar electricity.
